If you’re already a cyclist, you might already know of Aribike from their various chainrings, cassette adapters, and other accessories. If not, Aribike is an Italian manufacturing house that specializes in making parts that don’t exist or creating better ways to integrate current parts into your favorite bike. In this case, the brand has decided to take on the world of e-bikes with some of the first aftermarket direct mount chain rings we know of, that are e-bike specific.
Called the Monoring XX1, the rings are meant for 1x drivetrains and feature Aribike’s SYNC ARI XX1 Narrow-Wide tooth profile and a spiderless design that is meant for specific e-bike drivetrains. Sold in three fitments, you have the choice of a ring for a Brose, TSDZ-2, or Ultra Torque motors. You also have the choice of standard round rings or oval, which to our knowledge makes this the only aftermarket direct mount oval rings for e-bike drivetrains currently available.
When ordering be sure to specify if you’re running 9/10/11/12 speed, and you have the choice of teeth from 28-46t rings in both ‘Strong’ (thicker for training purposes) or ‘Race’ (thinner and lighter for competition). Pricing is set at €90 for round rings or €95 for oval in your choice of color.
